Port-A-Gee

Mon, 7/23 - Kingston, Ontario (Confederation Basin Marina) to Trenton/Quinte West, Ontario (Trent Port Marina) (61.2NM) We got an early start, accompanied by Kayak, Pony, Elysium, and picked up Endless Somers as they departed Picton. It was a lovely, sunny day crossing the Bay of Quinte and Big Bay to Trenton / Quinte West, the Gateway to the Trent Severn Waterway. On the way over, I purchased a Lock pass from Parks Canada online.  It was $5.00/ft (Canadian) for a 1-way pass.  There is also an option to purchase a mooring pass that is equivalent to 10 overnights on the Trent Severn.  We decided to pay as we go, because we don't think we'll stay 10 nights - we'll see! We pulled into the Trent Port Marina's fuel dock mid-afternoon and took on 220 liters of fuel. Now we have to do the math on both metric and exchange rates. Wed, 7/12 - Fri, 7/14/23 - Brewerton, NY to Henderson Habor, NY (62.3NM) It took us 3 days to provision and ready Port-A-Gee for the Grand Finale of our Great Loop. We appreciated Winter Harbor's hospitality and amenities, especially use of the courtesy car. First on the list, was raising our Canadian flag, to pay our respects to our upcoming host country. Managed to squeeze in a docktail session and fellowship with follow Loopers: Laney Tunes Number 99 Inconseavable Last Chance Little Buddy No Rush was at Winter Harbor, but no one was on board.  We were hoping to meet the "new" owners, because we crossed the Gulf back in November with No Rush, crewed by Mitch & Anne! Our Buddy Boat, Kayak went home the same time we did, but Kim & John were not returning until 7/15 - we hope to be reunited with them in the next couple of weeks. 7:30 a.m. we were making our way out of our slip and over to the fuel dock for the cheapest fuel in a whole year! $3.39/gal 12 Miles broug...
