Port-A-Gee

Wednesday, November 30, Anclote Key to Tarpon Springs (4.1nm) .  We were the last to leave the anchorage around 11:30, hoping to take advantage of a slack tide going into MAR Marina.  Nebo let us know that several Loopers were already there: Arabella, It's About Time, Knot Dreaming, Kraken, Hele Aku and Sail La Vie; a few more were down the river at the Tarpon Springs Municipal dock. MAR Marina is a boatyard, that recently changed ownership.  The new owners decided to take advantage of an additional revenue stream by offering transient slips.  They're new to this, so we'll give them some consideration. When we arrived, we learned that despite our reservation, they didn't actually have a slip for us. Shane greeted us and it was decided we would tie up in the Travel-Lift Pit!  Brian skillfully threaded Port-A-Gee between Arabella and Hela Aku, then quickly steered her into the pit.  I can't believe I didn't get a picture - it was very interesting.
